The star of the BBC2 series "Monty Halls Great Escape" was - as we all know - his dog Reuben! The intrepid duo have just returned to Bristol from filming a second series in the wilds of the Outer Hebrides, which will air on BBC2 this May.
Reuben was a rescue dog from Bristol based Holly Hedge Sanctuary. In times of recession, such sanctuary's are hard hit, and Holly Hedge desperately needs funds to continue it's work saving and re-homing dogs and cats from the Bristol area.
In a one-off event, Monty and Reuben will host an evening in celebration of the dog! The programme includes:
- A presentation from Monty about the filming of the second series, including images and footage of dolphins, sea eagles, otters and stag (and Reuben!)-a sneak preview behind the series of a major BBC2 series.
- Sale of singed books and DVD's with all proceeds going to Holly Hedge.
- A charity auction
- A presentation by renowned dog behavioural specialist Glenn Heal about how to make your dog understand you!
- A presentation from renowned wildlife documentary Director Martin Pailthorpe (Ray Mears, Great Escape) about how to work with animals in wildlife filming.
Join us for an evening that will be a rare treat for any dog lover, the ideal surprise night out for a friend, and a lifeline for Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary. Demand for this evening is high, so book early by emailing suze@montyhalls.co.uk to confirm your place.
£5 on the door - 7pm Wednesday 14th April 2010 at Clifton College Preparatory School Hall, The Avenue, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 3HE.
