Ultimate Taste of Devon Boat Trip Dartmouth
The Ultimate Taste of Devon is precisely that - a chance to experience the sea, the coast, the coves, the wildlife, the paths, and - best of all - local produce from Devon farms, fishing boats & bakery.
Starting at the harbour side in Dartmouth, the first part of the tour is by fast boat, out of the river mouth and into the open sea. We visit the grey seals on the Mew Stone, and travel several miles along the coast looking for dolphins and whatever else swims or flies past!
We then land you in a quiet cove in the company of a marine biologist. Following a shore walk, exploring rock pools and the strand line, you’ll return to the drop off point and a feast of local Devon food. Lunch is a hamper of local crab, freshly baked bread, cheese from nearby dairy farms, fruit and veg from local growers, pickles and preserves from the town, and a cream tea to finish off.
The afternoon concludes with a walk home along the coast path back to Dartmouth in the company of a Marine Biologist or expert guide.
(If the sea is too rough we'll base the trip in the river and estuary. Feet may get wet when exiting the boat onto the beach. Dogs welcome)
