Keswick Mountain Festival 16-20 May

Monty is a headline speaker at this years Keswick Mountain Festival, a five day festival in the Lake District packed full of adventures, inspiration and activities for all ages and abilities. Monty will be taking us though his recent adventures, charming us and engaging us with fascinating stories and great tales. Monty will be joined by other great outdoor celebrities including TV Presenter Helen Skelton who has just returned from kite-skiing, biking and cross-county skiing her way to the North Pole for Sport Relief. Sir Chris Bonington OBE will be celebrating his 50 year anniversary of his first ascent of the Eiger. He will also be joining Simon Yates (Touching the Void climber), Andy Houseman, and Mick Fowler (the UK's most interesting Tax man) for a panel discussion before Mick takes centre stage. Mick will then take us on near death experiences and climbing firsts. Each session is bound to inspire and excite evenyone wheter you are a deadicted outdoors person or an armchair enthusiast.

Over the festival there are lots of opportunities to join taster activity sessions picking up bushcraft skills, learning to navigate, how to handle a canoe or a mountain bike. For the more adventurous you could book onto a guided walk, ride or climb and get into the fells. Alternatively you could enjoy a pint in the Recharge Bar, listen to the music, watch all the action and soak up the atmosphere.
