For some reason best known to myself I did the London Marathon, and what's more I did it dressed as a dolphin! It all makes some vague form of sense actually, as I did it for the fine folk at the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society who asked me to trundle round on their behalf to raise money for a campaign in the Moray Firth. This campaign aims to maintain the status of a Special Area of Conservation where a unique population of bottlenose dolphins are resident. I should hastily point out that the photo above does not have bottlenose dolphins in it. And it's not the Moray Firth - it's the Bahamas, which is like the Moray Firth in that it's wet, and that's about it!
The dolphin outfit was amazing - complete with squirty blowhole!
I managed to get round in 4 hrs 11 minutes and raised nearly £10,000! So thank you everyone who sponsored me. Being part of the London Marathon was the most amazing experience and I would definitely do it again!
