The Enchanted Archipelago – Exploring the Galapagos: As president of the Galapagos Conservation Trust Monty is passionate about the islands, and filmed an episode of his tv series Great Ocean Adventures there. This talk describes the work of the Trust, and tells the story of the islands that have enchanted generations of travellers.

Sunday’s talk is at 12.30pm

The Great Shark Chase – In August 2015 Monty led a team of film-makers and scientists for 1,000km up the coast of South Africa following one of the greatest marine events on earth – the sardine run. The journey involved wild shorelines, remote coves, deep inlets, dusty tracks, superpods of dolphins, and tagging shark species to learn more about this extraordinary gathering of predators and prey. The project was filmed by Discovery TV, and this talk tells the behind the scenes story of the greatest shoal on earth.”
