SUMMER 2016 – The Adventure of a lifetime with Monty Halls! 

Monty is currently in South Africa with Land Rover on the epic “Shoals of Agulhas” expedition (#SpiritOfAdventure) following the mass migration of sardines along the Natal coast in South Africa. He will be sending back live blogs, images and footage through various social media platforms including The Telegraph and Land Rover.

The Sardine Run is the most iconic event in the global marine calendar, eagerly anticipated by adventurers, natural history film makers, and those with a love of things that are truly wild. The massing of vast shoals of sardines along the coast of South Africa creates a frenzy of feeding activity, attracting whales, dolphins, and sharks in their thousands.

The expedition will follow a 1,000km along the coast road of the Eastern Cape, periodically moving inland to take part in conservation activities. A fast Rigid Inflatable Boat, towed by one of the vehicles.  can be launched and recovered whenever the shoals are sighted offshore. This will allow the expedition team members to gain access to the heart of the action as and when it appears. The team will work throughout with a renowned scientist, sampling large predators in the heart of the action.
